Lotus Notes Setup and Configuration
NOTE: If you already have Notes 8.5 installed, skip to step 8. Additionally, this document assumes you have received your ID file; if you have not received your ID file, contact your Administrator or support@phase2.com.
1. Open the installer file and click Next
2. Click “I Accept the terms in the license agreement” and click Next.
3. Enter User Name and Organization Name and click Next.
4. Click Next.
5. Click Next.
6. Click Next.
7. Click Next, this will finish the installation.
8. Copy the name.id file to the following directories:
- C:\Program Files\IBM\Lotus\Notes\Data
- C:\Program Files\IBM\Lotus\Notes\Data\ids\People (Only copy here if the directory exists)
9. Open Lotus Notes 8.5
10. Click Next
11. Enter your First and Last Name in the “Your name” field and dominoa.phase2.com in the “Domino Server” Field; leave “I want to connect to a Domino server” checked.
12. Enter your password and click Log In.
13. Click Browse.
14. Navigate to C:\Program Files\IBM\Lotus\Notes\Data and select your ID file, click Next.
15. Enter your password and click Log In.
16. Click Next.
17. From the Welcome screen, click on the Home tab.
18. You can choose to create your own home page or use the default, for the purposes of this document, we will select Default.
19. This will bring you to a home page where you can navigate to Mail, Calendar, Contacts, To Do and Notebook. When you click on these, they will open in a new tab.
